I confess to not remember anything for the story of the suicide of prof. Parmaliana, a world expert of Industrial Chemistry, who committed suicide in 2008, jumping from a motorway viaduct at Patti. Tonight on the radio I heard a piece of this story by the author "Montanelli" doc, Alfio Caruso, who recently published a book on the right . Prof. Parmaliana - after contributing to dissolve the municipal council of the mafia for his country in Messina - had been indicted for defamation by his enemies, and perhaps also by what he called, desperate and disappointed, PUS (single party in Sicily.) A recent and disturbing story , beset by a strange silence. However you think about Berlusconi and the Mafia, we must continue to write and talk about it, without ever tiring. I want to go through with the analysis of the allegations also concerned leaders of the time .. DS

ports: a necessary link est!
After three years, yesterday concluded the study of the project system Efforts, led by the Italian company D'Appolonia, with a lot ideas of right and good.
Sure, it's not great demonstrators, but the beauty of Efforts , as a European research project is to draw a common way for some topics that are often underestimated (the environment and workplace safety, among many others) that here in Italy we have to establish as "desires", often with outlandish architecture consortia "Search", which always revolve around the usual unresolved Italian ports. Maybe disregarding what has already been made good, and re-presentation "to finance" verbatim, "new" development goals about things that are already "best practices" established (and this is simply to put in real exercise). Efforts
I've seen in a very good job on different requirements from the usual Italian old story: I hope it is a good straight for a new season of seriousness here too.
As many of my loyal readers know, the agenda of innovation and port logistics incarognendo I'm always more: it is intolerable that the national systems and the Department now legendary Motorways of the Sea will continue to remain dreams, "imaginary," after all our public money largely paid in the jar crammed full of rhetoric and into the pockets of a few privileged companies, which clashes with the apparent poverty of the results ...

It has been published the " 2009 EU Industrial R & D Investment Scoreboard " that the JRC in Ispra (European Institutions) regularly prepare for a critical analysis of rational (?) rate trends and innovation in Europe, compared with non-EU ( headed by the U.S.). Also this year is, therefore, the ranking of the top 1000 most innovative companies on 2 continents of the old triad of R & D (Japan only, however, the fact is not very measurable CHINA!). These exercises are really a bit 'self now and frankly unnecessary : I do not think any serious person can use it to be really strange theorems on how innovation in industrial laboratories worldwide.
Moreover, if one looks at the technical publications (not just academic) on Nature, Science, and in the various sections of the IEEE understands that the Chinese are rampant, and then something is wrong in a statistic at this level. People will say 'well worth THAT CONTINUE TO VIEW THESE STATISTICS FOR CONSISTENCY AGAINST PERIODIC' COMPARISONS OF "OLD". Okay! I'll be back again the Automatic Identification System water on to report that 'there is a beautiful iPhone application, designed to raise many doubts among the staunchest defenders the "great" coastal radar. In

The real game is another: How many base stations AIS EXIST IN THE SYSTEM OF NATIONAL COAST GUARD? But because the public portal of the national VTS is always "site" and never opened?

I think there is much to do, especially considering that the S-band (atellitare) provides mobile telematics systems galore on board ship (and powerful wide band as we do not even the 'imagine the old south!).
